Supervisor Andrea Bailey Successfully Secures Funding for Key Initiatives in FY2024 Budget
WOODBRIDGE, VA- Today, Supervisor Bailey announced funding for several of her key initiatives in the newly approved Fiscal Year 2024 budget. She delivered on increased funding for her Crisis Receiving Center project, funding for two new county Grant Writers, and funding for the VRE stations - including the station being built in Potomac Shores. Supervisor Bailey also celebrated the reduction in property taxes, as well as the Board’s landmark investments in public safety and education.

Supervisor Andrea Bailey Celebrates Purchase of Facility for Crisis Receiving Center
WOODBRIDGE, VA- Supervisor Andrea Bailey lauds the county’s purchase of a facility for her Crisis Receiving Center project. Bailey has championed the CRC project in her first term, and this purchase marks a significant victory for Bailey and a realization of her 2019 campaign promise. Bailey secured the funding for the purchase from local government, from state government in partnership with Delegates Elizabeth Guzman and Luke Torian, and from the federal government in collaboration with Senators Tim Kaine and Mark Warner and Congressman Gerry Connolly. The county won the bid for the building at auction for less than the budget had allocated for the purchase, saving taxpayers $8 million.
